Contest 37 - Weddings

We all love Disney couples, and Valentines is approaching, so let's get this show on the road!
For this contest you'll be drawing canon couples on their wedding day!






- Canon couples only (They must have actually gotten together or at least been strongly hinted at.) there's a list below if you want to choose from there.

- A bride AND groom must be present.

- No gender bending.

- If you want to pick younger characters who fall in love, you have to make them older in your drawing. No child brides, please! XD

- Don't make up any characters

- Conversely, you may also draw older characters younger to depict their wedding.

- It doesn't have to be a Christian wedding. Any ceremony will do!

- Doll bases are no longer allowed - make your own work to grow as an artist!

- You can humanize animal characters if you want (Just FYI: most of the time the judges prefer to see characters as they are on screen).

- If the characters actually got married on screen, you can draw their canon outfits OR change them to your liking. Otherwise, make it up!

- There won't be any extra points for commenting on every entry this time because someone complained about it. But, I still encourage the members to comment on all the entries to get into the spirit of the competition.

- Any medium is allowed. Digital, traditional, literature, sculptures, etc. Go for it!

- Your entry must have been created for this contest. In other words, you can't enter a piece you did before the creation of this contest.  [01-05-15]

- You may have up to two entries, but that's the limit.

- Keep it clean. No nudity, gore, or nipples. NO FETISHES! G-rated, please!

- We aren't accepting ABC shows, Marvel or Star Wars (unless it's Rebels) at this group.

- No tracing. If you copy a screenshot you cannot enter the contest.

- You may enter the contest even if you're not a member. Comment in this journal with a link to your entry when you're done so I can add it here.

- To submit your entry, simply submit it to our Contest 37 - Weddings folder in our gallery!
Please do not submit it to any other folder, or we may miss it.

- And please be aware it can take up to a day for us to list your entry here/ accept it into the group. We have about 19,000 members, so it takes us a little bit of time to get through all our messages. If you've been waiting for more than a day and a half, THEN you can send us a note and ask what's up. At any rate, your entry WILL be added before the due-date, we promise.

- When the contest is over, we'll put up a  journal with all the entries on it, and the members will vote on which one they think is best. And, a panel of judges will decide on three other winners.

Judges may enter the contest, but they will only be eligible to win in the Popular Vote section.

We chose our winners by creativity, originality and personality more than artwork. So, be sure to stretch your imagination!

How to Gain Favor with the Judges

- Be creative! The best artwork will not necessarily win. Think out of the box, and go wild!

- We will not choose anyone who traces an image from a screenshot or another artist (in fact it's against the rules). Take an original view, or use your own style to make your artwork unique.

- Write about your creative process and inspiration in your description. We will also be reading those.

- Put effort into your work. You don't have to be the best artist for your effort to show. Believe me, we can tell.

- Make a scene! There's nothing more boring to us than a bunch of characters standing around. Bring it to life!





Three prizes will be given by popular vote, and three will be given by our panel of judges.

18.) Contest Entry: a Texas WeddingWhat if Slue foot Sue didn’t decide to ride Widowmaker, What if, she found out she was carrying her fiancé’s child
    Susan Eleanor or better known as Slue Foot Sue was completely stressed, not only was her wedding coming up, but she received news from the doctor.
*15 minutes before*
    Sue and her Fiancé Pecos Bill were discussing plans for their Wedding, when Pecos notice Sue was distressed “Sweetheart?” Pecos asked sounding like a whimpering puppy “Don’t worry too much” Sue replied giving a smile hoping it would make Pecos Better, It did, only a little though. “We better go see the doctor” Pecos said getting from his seat only to be stopped by Sue. She placed her hand on Pecos’s shoulder “I can go on my own honey” Sue reassured Pecos “ya sure” Pecos said sounding worried “positive” with that she kissed him and headed for the doctor.
