Contest 36 - Winter Fashion Contest

AND THE WINNERS ARE...


And our theme for this year’s holiday/winter contest is: Winter Fashion!
Simply draw your favorite Disney characters sporting some fabulous winter/holiday wear.
This is a spitfire contest, meaning there's only ONE WEEK to enter! The due date is the 23rd at midnight Texas time. That way we have a few days to vote, and then we can post the winners on Christmas Day.



- Your entry must depict a Disney character in winter wear.

- You must depict your chosen character/s in something NEW or at least modify/embellish and old outfit.

- Your image must contain real Disney characters! No made-up ones.

- Crossovers are allowed, but you can only include up to five characters in any picture.

- Extra Points (to be added to your final popular vote score if you choose to do them):
Comment on every entry = +5 points
Include snow in your picture = +5 points
Include the colors red and green = +5 points
Be sure to tell which extra points you included in your description so the admins won't forget anything (except for the comments thing. For that, tell us on this page after the contest closes)!

- Any medium is allowed. Digital, traditional, literature, photos, sculptures, etc. Go for it!

- YES. Written entries are allowed. (describe some winter clothes in your fiction)

- Your entry must have been created for this contest. In other words, you can't enter a piece you did before the creation of this contest.  [12-16-14]

- All normal group rules apply: You can't use screenshots/copyrighted material, keep it PG13, no fan pairings (only canon ones allowed), etc. If you're not up on normal group rules, look here.

- You're allowed to have TWO entries.

- You may enter the contest even if you're not a member. Comment in this journal with a link to your entry when you're done so I can add it here.

- To submit your entry, simply submit it to one of this folder:

- And please be aware it can take up to a day for us to list your entry here/ accept it into the group. We have about 18,000 members, so it takes us a little bit of time to get through all our messages. If you've been waiting for more than a day and a half, THEN you should send us a note and ask what's up.

- Also be sure that we’ve added your entry to this page!

- When the contest is over, we'll put up a  journal with all the entries on it, and the members will vote on which one they think is best. And, a panel of judges will decide on three other winners.

Judges may enter the contest, but they will only be eligible to win in the Popular Vote section.

We chose our winners by creativity, originality and personality more than artwork. So, be sure to stretch your imagination!

How to Gain Favor with the Judges

- Tell us in your description why you chose what you decided to create, your inspiration, and your challenges! Tell us about your work.  

- Be creative! The best artwork will not necessarily win. Think out of the box, and go wild!

- We won’t choose anyone who traces an image from a screenshot or another artist. Take an original view, or use your own style to make your artwork unique.

- Put effort into your work. You don't have to be the best artist for your effort to show. Believe me, we can tell.

- Make a scene! There's nothing more boring to us than a bunch of characters standing around. Bring it to life!




Three of our winners will be chosen by popular vote, and the other three will be chosen by a panel of judges.
